Personalise your snake bite first aid
The SMART Bandage also doubles as a compression bandage in your first aid kit for major wounds, sprains and strains. It’s recommended to always carry at least two SMART Bandages with you, so these can be applied above and below the bite or wound in the case of a snake or funnel-web spider bite emergency.

Whilst the original smart bandage is great (and one of the reasons to buy Survival First Aid Kits), the vacuum sealed smart bandage is also a wonderful alternate form factor.
I've bought this vacuum sealed "flat pack" to provide options for packing packs / pouches - and expect to make further purchases in the future.

I've purchased several of these now for my kits for home (we live in the bush), my ute, and my RFS turn out gear. They're incredibly useful bot just for compression on bites, but serve well for splinting (especially when combined with a SAM splint or similar), and for bleed compression.
You'd be letting yourself down not have at least a couple available to you.

Growing up in a country area, we would have snakes and spiders turn up when least expected. Even today we get snakes within easy walking distance of our home. This bandage can add vital minutes to survival when used to sloe blood & Lymphatic flow in the event of a snake or spider bite. A must for every outdoor first aid survival kit.
